About the Artist

Dale DiMauro is a Vermont-based watercolor artist. He is surrounded by inspiration in the nearby hills and river valleys, with people of character, in the small town where he lives.

Dale prefers watercolor due to its versatility. Watercolor can be applied directly to record a scene or the atmosphere. It can be used as a study to draw upon later, as in developing a composition for a portrait. Lastly, you can develop elaborate full-size paintings rich with color that capture wonderful light.

One of the best characteristics of watercolor, Dale finds, is the ease of clean up. As a result, the artist is not exposed to any toxic chemicals.

Dale enjoys painting watercolors of landscapes, winter scenes with buildings in them, figures and portraits.
